You are summarizing, synthesizing and providing critical analysis of the information you have collected. Students are required to submit a bibliographic list of at least twenty-five works (books, films, visual art, performance, mixed media, etc.) that they’ve engaged with over the course of their time in the MFA program. An abstract is a summary of the thesis proposal in less than 250 words, reflecting the thesis project as agreed upon at the review. The Thesis Chair and Thesis Reader read the thesis proposal and each gives approval that the student’s proposal is of a quality that will enable the student to schedule a Thesis Proposal Presentation. Decision to approve or not to approve the scheduling of the Thesis Proposal Presentation is made by the Thesis Chair and Thesis Reader within two weeks of receiving the student’s thesis proposal.

Specific expectations will be determined in conversation with the thesis course instructor. The first full day of each residency is dedicated to engaging with and celebrating the work of our graduating students. Formation of Committee

Degree Requirements
